IE8 at Add-On Con in Mountain View

    http://techtoday.110mb.com/ 2008/ 12/ 03/ ie8-at-add-on-con-in-mountain-view/

A few of the startups building browser Add-Ons have organized the first ever Add-On Con, to take place in Mountain View on Dec 11, 2008.  We thought it was such a cool idea that we decided to co-sponsor the event (Mozilla is the other sponsor).  We will be giving some sessions about extending Internet

    Firefox Color Profile Fix

    http://itsjustjustin.com/ archives/ 2008/ 12/ 03/ firefox-color-profile-fix/

Something that has been bothering me ever since I started a photo blog was how awful the color was when I used Firefox to view my images. Want an example? Left = Firefox. Image is washed out. Right = Safari. Image is the same as the Photoshop version.

    Spread Firefox Tee

    http://zeo.unic.net.my/ notes/ spread-firefox-tee/

I’ve been rewarded with a cool and most importantly, free Spread Firefox t-shirt by the SFx Team for spreading the word about Firefox a few years back. Got an email from them in October (at first I thought it was a trick), and the t-shirt were safely delivered last week.

There are several add-ons for Firefox that will change the way you can interact with images and galleries, and joining that clan of extensions is OutWit Images. It is a simple, straight to the point image browser for the browser. It does all the catching, saving and auto-browsing for you.

New Firefox 3.1 related content on MDC

    http://www.bitstampede.com/ 2008/ 12/ 02/ new-firefox-31-related-content-on-mdc/…

We have a couple of new articles on MDC that are of interest to Firefox 3.1 users (among others). I wrote neither of them (which makes me so happy), but want to be sure everyone is aware of them: Arun wrote the article HTTP access control, which provides details on how HTTP access control works in Firefox 3.1.

    Songbird 1.0 Released

    http://jaypeeonline.net/ freeware/ songbird-10-released/

The first time I came across Songbird was back in 2005 when it was still a proof-of-concept. I was looking for a free media player alternative and fortunately for me, I came across Songbird. I installed the 0.1 beta version but wasn’t able to really try/use all of its features because I didn’t have an mp3 player at that time.
