Beneath the gobbledy-gook, an implied concession about taxes *UPDATED*
http://www.bookwormroom.com/ 2008/ 09/ 07/ beneath-the...
Wow! Unless I’m very confused, beneath all the O-babble here, Obama is conceding that low taxes benefit the economy: Democrat Barack Obama says he would delay rescinding President Bush’s tax cuts on wealthy Americans if he becomes the next president and the economy is in a recession, suggesting such an increase would further hurt the economy. Nevertheless, Obama has no plans to extend the Bush tax cuts beyond their expiration date, as Republican John McCain advocates. Instead, Obama wants to push for his promised tax cuts for the middle class, he said in a broadcast interview aired Sunday.

Submitted for your consideration
http://hillbillywhitetrash.blogspot.com/2008/09/submitted-fo...The Watchers Council nominations are up. Most of them reflect the tsunami of excitement over Sarah Palin and the shameful way the extreme left-wing of the Democrat party and the mainstream media (sorry, redundant) have attempted to destroy her. The watcher observes : The media continues to attack Sarah Palin for a second straight week but it appears that those efforts may have actually backfired. The medias’ attempts to smear Sarah Palin has rallied the conservative base and sparked interest in her message, especially in the important white women demographic . Adding insult to injury is the comments this evening by Barack Obama where he stuck foot in mouth with a very bad swipe at Palin. Obama appeared in a televised campaign event and said “ You Can Put Lipstick on a Pig, But It’s Still a Pig” . This is responsible for not one, not two, but three individual Memeorandum discussion topics. One for the event, a second for the defense by the left, and a third counter argument to defenders of Obama’s “slip”. The week has been quite remarkable indeed. A fact that leads the Watchers Council to nominate the following articles for this weeks competition: Council 1. The Glittering Eye - Waiting for the Takeover (Updated) 2. Soccer Dad - An exceptional choice 3. Bookworm Room - Beneath the Gobbledy-gook, an implied concession about taxes 4. The Razor - Dems Proving the GOP is really… 5. Operation Smear Palin, Watcher's Council Nominations & A Vacancy On The Council
http://wolfhowling.blogspot.com/2008/09/operation-smear-pali...First up, we have a vacancy on the Watcher's Council. If you would like to join, please visit the Watcher's site. You will find a link to instructions on how to apply on the right sidebar of the site. Each week, the members of the Watcher's Council nominate one of their own posts and a second from outside the Council for consideration by other council members in a contest for best post. The Watcher publishes the results each Friday morning. There is never an organized theme to our submissions, but more often than not many posts cover different aspects of the same topic. Having looked at the submissions, the Watcher has informed us that this is Nominations In The Midst Of Operation Smear Palin Week.
