Google Talk optimized for iPhone

They say looks can be deceiving. Well, so can blog post titles. Not this blog post's title, but rather, one from the Official Google Mobile Blog that goes "Google Talk for the iPhone". Sure, it's really an introduction of "Google Talk for the iPhone". But as it turns out, it's just another optimized mobile web site for Safari, the iPhone's mobile web browser. It's not a stand-alone, native app. And that would've made the difference. Anyway, Google Talk for the iPhone will also work with the iPod Touch, since both have practically the same version of mobile Safari.

http://www.m4gic.net/google-talk-furs-iphone-optimiert-oder-...Verbessert wurde die Funktionalität des Programms für Googe Talk auf dem iPhone wirklich, nur leider handelt es sich um eine dieser “Web-Apps” die im Safari laufen und nicht um ein natives Programm. Wer bitte nutzt sowas denn über längere Zeit? Überhaupt stelle ich hier jetzt mal die Frage, wer Google Talk nutzt. Ich hab z.B. ICQ und MSN und bin damit eigentlich vollständig bedient. Ok, manchmal wird noch Skype nötig, dann hat sichs aber auch erledigt. Für was also noch Google Talk? via unwiredview.com
